The Dome Hotel enjoys a stunning seafront location in the centre of Kyrenia, enabling its guests to easily shop, dine, sightsee and then relax in the comfort of their balconies, relishing the calming sounds of the waves and enjoying heavenly view of the Mediterranean sunset over the sparkling sea.
This well-loved hotel is something of an institution. In a commanding position, to one side of the picturesque harbour, the Dome Hotel in Kyrenia, continues to exude its Colonial charm and offers good, old-fashioned service with comfortable, well-appointed rooms. Its attractions, however, far outweigh any sense of nostalgia. The Dome Hotel has an extensive seafront terraces with a large outdoor freshwater pool as well as its seawater rock pool. It also offers a choice of restaurants including the charming Anchor Restaurant, a fish restaurant set on a tiny peninsula almost surrounded by sea. All floors in the hotel are reached by a lift, but there are steps to the Anchor Restaurant.

If relaxing in front of the stunning sea view of The Dome Hotel is not enough to spoil you, the bustling harbour is just on your doorstep, bursting with yachts and boats just waiting to prize you away. Its quaint little shops, restaurants, bars and local cafes are popular by day and by night. The picturesque harbour is a place of history and natural beauty. Once lined with warehouses, stored with fruits of the countryside awaiting export, these buildings are now mostly restaurants, all of which have tables and chairs lining the sparkling sea waters. The castle at the east end of the harbour is a spectacular site, definitely worth a visit. Within its walls there is a 12 century chapel showing reused late Roman capitals and a shipwreck museum, frequently visited by both locals and tourists.
The Icon Museum. Located in the former Greek Orthodox Arkhangelos Church is great for exploring both art and history. You can wander around three levels containing fascinating exhibits and icons. Opposite the Museum are the remains of Byzantine catacombs, currently with a restaurant on top! Around 70 of these tombs still remain in Kyrenia, although the majority are now built over.
The Dome Hotel is unique being the only hotel in the harbour that has access to its own private beach. Its stunning seafront area is perfect for relaxing and guests have the privilege of accessing the sea for a refreshing swim via the stairs going straight down into the crystal blue waters of The Mediterranean.
The Dome's boasts a choice of swimming pools, offering both a freshwater swimming pool and a natural sea water pool, with sensational sea views from their surrounding loungers. There is also a children's shallow pool. Beyond the pool the lower level astro-turf terraces allow guests to relax beside the calming waves. Swimming in the spacious sea water pool, filled naturally by the tide each day is an amazing treat. There is also a convenient pool bar, serving cool refreshments in the hot afternoon sun.
Bed & breakfast with Half Board available on payment of a supplement. Breakfast is served in the main restaurant as an open buffet. The Green Hall serves A La carte lunch and dinner and the Anchor situated on the Dome Pier serves fish. The American Bar and Café Dome are open all year round and the pool restaurants serve snacks and drinks in the summer. During cocktail hour, afternoon tea is available in the lounge to the sound of the elegant piano playing
The Dome Hotel provides regular evening entertainment such as traditional Tavern nights with live music, either in the restaurant or bar throughout most of the year. There is also a stylish casino.
