Topset Hotel occupies an excellent location; semi-secluded on the beautiful quiet beachfront, yet merely a few minutes’ walk away from the main road in Karaoglanoglu village where you have access to many small local cafes and some excellent restaurants. One of the local historical places of interest to visit is the St Fanourios Church on the breath-taking hilltop where St. Fanourios is said to have fallen to his demise while climbing the steep cliffs. There is also a horse-riding club nearby, which would make for an exhilarating daytime activity! You can always check with the helpful staff at the hotel reception for more information on local events or to arrange different activities such as scuba diving or cycling!
You can also hop on a minibus on the main road and head towards east for Kyrenia town, where you can find copious entertainment such as shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and clubs, as well as incredible historical sites including the magnificent Kyrenia Castle and the old Kyrenia Harbour itself, with many intriguing museums scattered throughout the town. Venturing west on the minibus would take you to the popular Lapta strip with some excellent beaches, restaurants and casinos! Keep going west for some beautiful landscapes and untouched beaches for a truly mesmerising day out in the countryside!
Breakfast is served at either of the hotel restaurants, covering both Cypriot and international delicacies with jams made from fruits from the hotel owner’s private garden. The Terrace Restaurant serves guests in the summertime under a bamboo pergola near the swimming pool, serving both hot and cold dishes, while the Lobby Restaurant welcomes guests in winter with the warmth of its cosy fireplace. Both restaurants are open throughout the day, serving a variety of local and international favorites, snacks, vegetarian dishes, and ice cream. The Beach Bar has a relaxing atmosphere and it is a perfect meeting place for cocktails and aperitifs, or after dinner and night-cups into early hours under the large leaves of an old palm tree.
