The Vuni Palace Hotel is very close to the centre of Kyrenia, so it's just a 5 minute drive to visit the harbour’s historical castle followed by a spot of shopping and an authentic Turkish coffee at a traditional café. The local mini buses (“dolmus”) run frequently, stopping anywhere along the main road or you can easily jump on the hotel's 'Noddy' road train (shared with the Oscar Resort next door) that runs at scheduled times to and from Kyrenia centre.

Often missed half way around the harbour is the Carob and Cyprus Life museum. The museum is housed in one of the old carob warehouses and is packed full of local history. The first floor explains carob and olive production, whilst the second and third floors have exhibits of local handicrafts and even a film of times gone by.

The traditional village of Bellapais, offering panoramic views is also a highly recommended place to visit. Only 2 miles away from the centre of Kyrenia, it’s home to the famous Bellapais Abbey. Visitors to this popular site will find plenty to see, and can enjoy taking in the Gothic art as well as exploring the monastery. You will find that the church that is located next to the courtyard is also a fascinating place to explore.
